A fun event for children to find out more about farming in Devon and learn where their food comes from first hand, where they can touch, feel and even smell how farms work!

Here are some of the your comments and thoughts received following Farmwise 2015

The following is an extract from Sam Ward, Collaton St Mary Primary School

“I just wanted to say what an amazing event Farmwise was! It was my first year being involved and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many children have access to great resources and education, reconnecting literally hundreds of pupils with farming, growing, processes, where their food comes from and cooking.

“A great hands on and interactive day. Just brilliant and so well organised! I was thrilled at how many children genuinely enjoyed munching on a colourful array of vegetables (kindly donated by Riverford) in our jumping bean cous cous salad! The pupils had a great time learning learning valuable life skills and hopefully it inspired teachers to continue cooking in their school environment too.

“Such a huge amount of set up and work on your and all the organisers part. I would love to have seen it extended for a couple of days and benefit so many more children.”
